YOGA WITH EVAN

For over 15 years, I have had the privilege of working as an educator in the wellness industry. With a B.A. in Dance and a focus on physical therapy, I began teaching yoga in my hometown of Berkeley, working with a wide range of students whose diverse needs shaped my ability to create highly personalized, results driven sessions. My work expanded in New York City, where I spent several years building a dynamic clientele and refining my methods through advanced study in anatomy and yoga therapy.

My continued training at Asheville Yoga Center allowed me to deepen my expertise in therapeutic applications of yoga, allowing me to support clients dealing with various conditions, injuries, and performance limitations. This specialized training enables me to go beyond a traditional yoga class and offer targeted, effective strategies tailored to each individual body.

As a certified Advanced Yoga Therapist, I went on to develop a Wellness and Education Program for Athletes, designed to enhance performance, prevent injury, and accelerate recovery. I brought this work to Loyola Marymount University, where I taught and conducted ongoing research as an adjunct professor. My research was later presented internationally in London at the Health, Wellness, and Society Research Network Conference.

Today, I work with clients who are ready to move beyond limitations. Whether you're recovering from injury, managing pre existing conditions, or striving for peak performance.

I currently reside in  San Diego, CA where I offer private sessions for individuals, small groups, or corporate events. Each yoga session includes meditation, breath work, and a movement practice that is modified based on the needs of the individual.

Evan is a fantastic instructor and communicator.  He is able to explain postures in a way that is easy to understand and relate to. He also works very hard to customize lessons to meet the specific needs and limitations of his students.  I was impressed by his ability to assess my capabilities and recommend specific stretches and supplementary exercises that accelerated my improvement and helped me manage a pre-existing lower back herniation.
